A cute, blue eyed, warm hearted beast!!Born in Quebec as Pierre Garand, he uses the name Garou (the werewolf in french stories) because he's a night person!
He was Quasimodo (the hunchback) of the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" presented in both french and english .
Listen to Garou sing "Quand je manque de toi" from his latest album "Garou" released last summer. A romantic song about how when he misses her, he misses everything, the air and the sky, his skin and his , his breath of life! In a documentary he says he sings it to his daughter..
Enjoy

The above comments are interesting (Aug 26) but I would have to disagree for my taste at any rate. I fine Garou presents himself as a sincere, charismatic, gifted performer. I have missed him all summer and wonder when he will appear on TV again. If he says the song "Quand je manque de toi" is dedicated to his Emelie, I believe him and admire him for it. And he does surround himself with talented people. My wish is for him to bring out his English album and to perform in more English venues as well. Thank you.

The problem with Garou is that the guy has a fantastic voice but no artistic integrity at all. An original R'b'B/soul man who sold himself and now he sings all this horrid, cheesy "romantic" songs. And that crap "Quand je manque de toi", it's just very banal, boring love song, wrote years ago by Veneruso - nothing to do with his daughter. He kept saying that for publicty sake. Very talented whore, that's what he is. But he's being punished for that, his latest (awful) album flopped and during the tour he performed in half-full arenas... (not to mention a dozen or so of cancelled venues)- so there's some justice in this world, after all. I expect you'll delete my comment but it's the sad truth. He's got a gift from God but he didn't respect it and choose money instead...

Et si tu crois que j'ai eu peur
C'est faux
Je donne des vacances à mon coeur
Un peu de repos
Et si tu crois que j'ai eu tort
Attends
